Very helpful and inspirational.
I think Bokeh is underrated. It deserves more reviews & media attention. Its got interesting and helpful reads for photographers of every level: from beginner to advanced. I just wished more people would read it & get more well-known American photographers featured on it!
I was looking for another photography magazine for a day long excursion to a coffee shop for some winter reading and found Bokeh here on Newstand. I like it for its interviews with real working photographers who arent necessarily rock stars. Great imagery and an easy to read black on white font. Im now a subscriber.
Truly insightful. Fantastic first person interviews packed with useful and inspiring information. Love the Bokeh Business section. Great publication. Thanks very much!
I took the annual subscription after reading the reviews here. If you got Bokeh with the idea of learning something new in photography you are going to be disappointed. Issue upon issue is filled with interviews asking the same tired questions. There is very little on technique or the science of photography. If you love reading interviews this is for you cos thats all there is in the magazine. Not worth the annual subscription.
Love the images!!! Great inspirational articles!!
It has great images and photographers but the questions are all the same throughout all the interviews. Gets boring
The inaugural issue left me feeling "meh." Dont get me wrong — the photographs were wonderful and what I could bear to read of the articles was good. However, I found it exhausting to read through the poor grammar, poor language mechanics, and gray-on-black type. This magazine appears to have a lot of potential. Perhaps that potential is realized in subsequent issues but how is one to know? The previews of the three most recent issues give me the impression that theyre from the bottom of the barrel. My suspicion is that the other articles in those issues are more substantive but locked behind a paid subscription in an effort to induce people to pay. I will gladly pay for a subscription if I know that I will get a product of sufficient quality. The one and only full issue on which I can base my decision does not meet the bar.
I absolutely love to look through this magazine. It has so many articles that are helpful to what we do as photographers. Theres also so much inspiration on every page. Great magazine.
Love your magazine & the amazing photography!
Other than not responding to emails, limited publication format, and repetitive and amateurish style of writing, the mag still comes off as more fluff and eye candy than something with substance. Definitely not worth the money!
Ultimately, the photography covered so far is a bit dull, writing a bit thin and the portfolio slideshows dont add value.
Spent hour trying to get working. $25 buck up sell doesnt work...not what expected. Want refund. Im outta here!
I really like the way they present featured galleries in video presentation style. I also enjoy reading about how others got into the business and the different motivations that inspire photographers. We never stop learning so the tips can also prove beneficial regardless of how seasoned you are in the business.
I love put maybe go behind scene show diagram on how a image was taken if out door time of day.
Magazine is good. However the app has failed to load a number of issues on my iPad pro. Emailed support with no response. Have to read the missing issues on my old iPad. Tried all the usual ie uninstall reinstall etc to no effect.
